kicking' it in Kilkenny

today I'm in Kilkenny... Went to the Kilkenny castle today, pretty magnificent! Wandered through town, found the post office & dropped some post cards, then made my way to the Black Abbey. The Abbey is a Dominican abbey & working Catholic church. Outside lie old old coffins from during the Black Plague. Went in for a bit, but didn't stay long. There was an afternoon Mass getting ready to start. A prayer we said though, before I Gor on my way. I like Kilkenny, it seems like a lovely, friendly town. Wish I had the resources (a car) to explore the towns just outside Kilkenny city (most of the big cities reside on counties of the same name. Just means I'll have to come back! Tomorrow j head to Dublin, the last city I'll be staying on while here. Thursday I have a tour in Wicklow/Glendalough. I'll get to see the part of Ireland where they shot scenes of "P.S. I Love You." Excited about the tour. Going to do my best to make it to the Guinness brewery tomorrow. Hoping the train ride is good & that I can get to the hotel easily (thinking taxi!) The Friday morning, I depart for NYC. It'll be sad, but I am startingtp miss home. I'll get home late on Saturday... But have a few things planned foe NYC ( like going to fao schwarz to make a muppet whatnot!!)

Galway

in the westen hotel restaurant eating breakfAst... Not a full Irish breakfast, have a bus to catch, so np time for that. Headed to Ballyvaghan today, it's a small town outside Galway. Saw the cliffs of Moher & Kylemore Abbey. Having a good time so far. After Ballyvaghan I'll head to Cork/Blarney... Can't wait!

sitting at a starbucks...

I'm sitting at a starbucks in NYC, wasting some time before my shuttle picks me up... Flight for Ireland leaves at 9something tonight. I'm excited, but a bit nervous about the LONG flight. Hopefully I'll manage to nap, I have some p.m. Med to help with that. Anyway, just wanted to check in... I'll try to upload a couple pics, we'll see if I can make it work!
